Location


In March, the weather in Tulum is warm and pleasant, with daily average temperatures of around 85°F (29°C), and nighttime temperatures around 68°F (20°C). Amansala offers relaxed accommodation like no other boutique hotel in Tulum. You can walk from your room straight into the Caribbean Sea for a swim, enjoy delicious and healthy meals that magically show up three times a day, and soak in the prana of this magical shore. If you are feeling adventurous, you can visit the nearby Mayan ruins, snorkel in the cenotes, or enjoy the bright colors and sounds of nature at the nearby bio-reserve. If you're seeking peace and inner tranquility, we will practice daily yoga and meditation, and you can indulge in a massage (or two!), relax in a hammock, sip coconut water, and watch the stars dance over the waves.

Getting to Tulum, Mexico 


There are 2 airports you can fly in to: 


  • Tulum (TQO) 20-minute drive to the hotel

  • Cancun(CUN) 90-minute drive to the hotel


If you are travelling from Iceland there are several options via New York to Tulum or Cancun. For example the airline jetBlue offers direct flights from New York to Tulum and Cancun at reasonable prices. This could be a great opportunity to layover in New York for 1 - 2 nights.

Cancellation & Refund Policy 


NO ONE BOOKS A RETREAT WITH THE INTENTION OF CANCELING IT, BUT UNEXPECTED EVENTS DO OCCUR, SO PLEASE CONSIDER PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE AND THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND OUR CANCELLATION POLICIES. 


All retreats include a ISK 100.000 kr. ($750) non-refundable / non-transferable deposit, which is required to hold your spot on the trip. Any balance payments made are also non-refundable / non-transferable. Iceland Power Yoga can only make an exception to these terms if:


  1. The host government forbids us to visit as tourists.

  2. The host government forbids our vendors from hosting us as tourists.

  3. The US government forbids us to travel to the host country as tourists.


If Iceland Power Yoga must further postpone or cancel the trip for any of the above reasons, all registrants will receive a refund of all deposits paid less $300.


Full Payment is due by January 15th 2025.


PLEASE NOTE THAT BECAUSE ICELAND POWER YOGA IS LIMITED TO A CERTAIN NUMBER OF ATTENDEES, TO ALLOW FOR A MORE PERSONABLE, INTIMATE EXPERIENCE, OUR CANCELLATION POLICY IS IN PLACE TO HELP GUESTS AND US ALIKE WORK TOGETHER SHARING EXPENSES THAT MAY ARISE FROM UNEXPECTED CANCELLATIONS.

FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE MORE THAN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO THE RETREAT START DATE, ANY PAYMENTS MADE MAY EITHER BE TRANSFERRED TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER, WITHIN 7 DAYS OF YOUR CANCELLATION EMAIL.


FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE MORE THAN 70 DAYS PRIOR TO THE RETREAT START DATE, ANY PAYMENTS MADE MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER, OTHERWISE ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE FORFEITED AND YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR TRAVEL INSURANCE COMPANY FOR REIMBURSEMENTS.

ICELAND POWER YOGA CANNOT REFUND ANY PAYMENTS FOR ANY REASON (COVID, INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH). WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE.

TRAVEL INSURANCE CAN PROTECT PARTICIPANTS AGAINST PARTICIPANT CANCELLATION, ASSEMBLE CANCELLATION, LOST OR DELAYED BAGGAGE, MEDICAL EXPENSES AND THE COST OF REPATRIATION SHOULD THE PARTICIPANT BECOME ILL OR INJURED. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE, INCLUDING A 'CANCEL FOR ANY REASON' OPTION IN ORDER TO PROTECT THEM AGAINST THE RARE CHANCE OF CANCELLATION. 


FOR TRANSFERS TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS, THEIR INFORMATION MUST BE UPDATED IN THE BOOKING SYSTEM AND THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION MUST BE EMAILED TO US AT  INGA@ICELANDPOWERYOGA.IS  AT THE TIME OF THE TRANSFER.DELAYS AND OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
